Malcolm CasSelle is the current CIO of OPSkins, the top in-game virtual assets and bitcoin merchant in the world. While it is the top centralized technology company, being a centralized company at all means that the company has limitations. This is why it will in all probability eventually opt for decentralization. OPSkins recently launched an online blockchain trading platform called WAX (Worldwide Asset eXchange) which CasSelle also leads. Up till WAX, the virtual asset market had to huge problems: fragmentation and fraud.
It has solved the fragmentation that has resulted in so many different international payment plans, languages, and security concerns. Until now every country has gone by different rules and therefore traders have been forced to perform all of their work in their own countries. WAX’s simplified blockchain system has unified all the traders in the world into one system.
It also solves the fraud problem. For many years the amount of fraud and security issues in the virtual world have been growing. WAX has also successfully and substantially curbed fraud via its own breed of the blockchain. In the past intermediaries were necessary to do anything at all. The WAX blockchain not only does it to maximum efficiency but does it without the assistance of intermediaries at all.
Prior to leading OPSKins and WAX, CasSelle worked a variety of company entrepreneur, founder, and leadership positions. He entered his adult like by earning degrees in Computer Science from MIT and Sanford. He then went on to his enormously successful entrepreneur career starting and running businesses. Possibly two of his biggest included MediaPass and Groupon. He has also been a heavy investor in Facebook and Zynga. He was the Senior Vice President and GM of Digital Media at Sea Change. He then served as the CTO of Tronc. Throughout his career, he has been involved in many billions of dollars in interactions.
