Dr. Jennifer Walden is nominated as a candidate for the 2016 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year award. Walden, a nationally well-known plastic surgeon, will raise money to help find a cure towards blood cancers. Every dollar she raises from late March through early June will count as one “vote.” Candidates across the country compete to help raise funds for blood cancer research in honor of a local who has survived blood cancer. At the end of the competition, local candidates are entered into the competition for the National Man & Woman of the Year title. Dr. Jennifer Walden deserves this award and should be honored to be nominated for such a great cause. She is passionate about finding a cure for this deadly disease and will fight for what she believes in.
Dr. Walden was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology after graduating with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She graduated with highest honors, as well as Salutatorian at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where she earned her Medical Doctorate degree. She was a visiting physician in Miami at Plastic Surgery Associates. She has won many awards in her career such as the Mavis P. Kelsey Excellence Medicine Award, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Award. She currently owns her own practice named the Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center, and also operates her own fully accredited office at Westlake Medical Center.
She is someone who cares about her patients. She takes her time and goes through the process every step of the way in order for her patients to understand exactly what they are getting themselves into. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and will take her time explaining everything before proceeding to the surgery. Surgery is always a scary thing, so Dr. Walden wants to make sure her patients are safe. She and her team of dedicated doctors want to maintain the highest possible standards when it comes to their practice. With someone as dedicated as Dr. Jennifer Walden, she deserves this Woman of the Year award to the highest degree.
